Rescue Engine 6 is a part of the Ashburn Volunteer Fire amp; Rescue Company in Ashburn, VA. International Fire and EMS Safety Stand Down is an annual event begun in 2005 by the International Association of Fire Chiefs and supported by the U.S. Fire Administration and FEMA. The effort encourages fire and rescue departments nationwide and internationally to devote at least one shift per department to discuss personal safety and wellness for volunteer and career firefighters and EMS personnel.
